my story

her name is

Lillian…

She was 99 years old…

The first story I ever captured was her written story during a project in University. What I did not know then is this profound experience would shape my purpose. Using video to share the legacy within a story is something I deeply believe in.

My first video captured was of my Oma & Opa. They lived in Ontario and I lived in Vancouver at the time. I wanted to watch them tell their story, learn their history, interact, and laugh together. I would watch it when I missed them.

I surprised the entire family at Christmas, so many of the stories people had never heard before. I created a video time capsule our entire family will cherish & share with future generations. Our family history witnessed & told by them will live on long after they do.

My approach is different because the camera is not the focus. We forget it is there and get lost in the conversation. Bringing the story & legacy to life in an authentic way.
